The familiar silhouette becomes a serviceable exterior: removable panels, opening leaves and thin overlapping coverage. These are real modifications to the source geometry—not replacement blocks masquerading as armor.

01 / EXTERIOR REFERENCE

The shape
we build around.

The supplied assembled reference contains one limb side. The atlas reconstructs its opposite side by mirroring while retaining central components. It is a visual reference, not a complete fitted or watertight assembly.

Scale and coordinate frames: the original source receives 110% exactly once. The atlas is approximately 2,093 mm tall; this is source geometry, not the wearer's height or a fit result. The separately bed-oriented source print parts are not automatically registered to this atlas.
02 / OPENING SKIN

Access is
part of the surface.

Choose a region and separate its actual capped leaves. Cuts introduce a 1.2 mm gap. Hardware and whole-suit opening paths are not inferred from a successful mesh operation.

WHAT CHANGED

24 capped access leaves.

Helmet, upper arm, forearm, shoulder, hip service panel, shin, heel and chest service regions. Each exported leaf passes the recorded watertightness, winding and positive-volume checks.

WHAT REMAINS SEPARATE

Thin skin is another operation.

These access cuts retain the source wall construction. The selected largest connected shell is cut; companion components are preserved separately. The thin-skin trials below explore a different conversion.

03 / KEEP THE OUTSIDE, REBUILD THE INSIDE

Faceplate, chest and shoulder coupons use source exterior faces, a nominal 2.4 mm inward vertex-normal offset and stitched boundaries. This is an experiment in the manufacturing geometry.

Manufacturing boundary: a 2.4 mm vertex offset does not guarantee minimum wall thickness everywhere or reliable casting. Draft, parting strategy, cores, shrinkage, gates, machining allowances and physical casting trials are not supplied as completed tooling.
04 / THE FACEPLATE SERVES THE EYES

An aperture.
Not a black visor.

The registered source faceplate now has two rounded 60 × 24 mm direct-view apertures and an 18 × 12 mm camera-development opening. Their positions are explicit in the CAD source.

Recorded sight-line result: 18/18 blocked in the original reference, 0/18 blocked after the faceplate change. These are straight-ray samples from an assumed ±35 mm eye position—not a head scan, vision certification, camera calibration or optical engine test.

Print the experiment. Inspect the source.

Cut STLs, AR STEP/STL, the registered faceplate, thin-skin coupons, scripts, parameters and detailed evidence. All 110% source-derived outputs print at 100%.
